Hi there! I’m Dani

I’m a new mom to two incredible babes, and soon to be your Mama BFF as I share real-life tips, honest advice, and the essential items that have made my life a little bit easier.

A little about me

  • Lover of travel, concerts, good food and red wine.

  • I adore living in Toronto and exploring the great food scene.

  • I feel very lucky to have traveled to amazing places - my favs include Cambodia, Chile, South Africa and Peru.

On a more personal note, my road to parenthood was a difficult one.

In 2018, my husband and I began our journey to start a family through assisted reproduction and surrogacy. We were optimistic and hopeful, and couldn’t wait to be parents. After 3 egg retrievals and IVF, we were blessed with 10 healthy embryos.

And then, after 7 years of trying, with many moments of heartbreak and loss, we found ourselves with only 3 healthy embryos left.

We were exhausted, and were nearing our breaking point.
We knew in our hearts that we needed an end point.

A Promise

So, we made a promise to each other – we’d give it one more year.

We would try everything we could to start a family, and if it didn’t work out, we would accept it. We had dreamed of having children for so long, but we also knew we could have a beautiful life, no matter what happened.

2024

And just like that, our lives completely changed in 2024 as we welcomed our first child.

We were over the moon to become new parents to our beautiful daughter. We had wanted this for so long, and we were so prepared (maybe a bit over-prepared) .

We are grateful every day as we continue to learn new things and settle into parenthood.

. . . And just when we thought our hearts couldn’t get any fuller, we found out we were expecting another baby in early 2025!

So here we are!

After 7 years of trying to have a baby the universe blessed us with 2 beautiful children, born only 7 months apart! Thanks to the incredible generosity of 2 amazing surrogates, I became a Mama to 2 under 1!

Our life is busy, beautiful, full of love and laughter, often a tiny bit messy . . .and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
