My 11-Month-Old's Favorite Books (and Why We Love Them!)

My 11-month-old daughter is absolutely obsessed with books! She loves "reading" them, carefully flipping the pages, and scattering them joyfully around the house. She loves pulling them off the shelf, she loves chewing them . . . Clearly, she loves everything about books.

It's wonderful to see her developing such an early love for reading, and it's also a testament to how many fabulous books are out there for babies her age. We've certainly accumulated quite a collection!

Here's a list of her current favorites that your baby will love too:

  • Peekaboo Lion by Camilla Reid - This whole peekaboo collection is brilliant! Very interactive and full of surprises. We have several, and she adores them!

  • Never Touch a Dinosaur by Rosie Greening - Such a fun touch and feel book! Our little one loves to feel all of the different textures on each page.

  • The Very Hungry Bear by Nick Bland - This is such a fun read, and the whole collection is wonderful! We have a few of these amazing books!

  • That’s Not My Bee by Fiona Watt - These touch and feel books are so fun! Our little one loves to see and feel

  • Sweet Dreams by Becky Davies - A beautiful flap book that is full of surprises. Our little loves to lift the flaps and find the forest animals.

  • Night Night Toronto by Katherine Sully - A must-have bedtime book for any baby living in or visiting Toronto! Say Goodnight to all of the Toronto landmarks.

  • Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell - A must have classic! Lift the flaps to find the perfect pet from the zoo!

  • You’re My Little Pumpkin Pie by Nicola Edwards - The My Little series is another fabulous one, featuring cutouts and raise pictures.

  • Press Here by Herve Tullet - Our little one loves to push the spots on the pages!

  • I Am a Big Sister by Caroline Jayne Church - A very cute book that we were given by our surrogate. Our little one loves flipping the pages and pointing at the baby.

  • Goodnight Bunny - This book is short and sweet, and always a great bedtime read. And the pages on this board book somehow feel so luxurious!

  • The Story of Rock - We have a few of these books, and our baby loves flipping through and pointing at all the rockers! With fun colors and musical history, this is also a fun one for parents.
