Daycare Prep: Why My "Barefoot Baby" Suddenly Needs New Shoes

Here we are, preparing my oldest to start daycare (…cue the mom tears), and that means diving headfirst into the land of daycare essentials.

The thing that immediately stood out on the supply list was the footwear. Since both our babies are happily barefoot most of the time at home, I realized we needed to buy new footwear ASAP!

Here are the three types of toddler shoes we grabbed right away

Our New Fall Footwear Lineup

New Baby Shoes for Daycare

Indoor Shoes:

I wanted these to be comfy, cozy, and light. I am loving these ones, which are perfect for all the indoor play.

Outdoor Shoes:

Since the weather is still nice, I wanted something that would be durable and super easy to slip on for outside time. These have been our favorite shoes all summer, so I grabbed another pair in a larger size.

Cold Weather Boots:

Thinking ahead to fall and winter, we needed cozy, warm boots that are also water-resistant. These are perfect for messy outdoor play. Plus, they're gender neutral so our younger one can wear them too!

And just like that, one big item is ticked off the daunting daycare list!
Now, the countdown is truly on to that first day. I’ll be grabbing the rest of the daycare essentials this week and trying to digest the fact that she’s growing up way too fast.
